What we do
Finnsus offers sustainability expertise to international entities.
We help public administration, educational institutions, NGOs, etc. identify the key sustainability aspects related to their operations, make development productive and make goals a reality. Our services are guided by sustainability thinking, which is based on a combination of ecological, economic, social and cultural sustainability, without forgetting the impact on future generations.
We believe that taking sustainability into account in an organization’s operations clarifies its raison d’être and is a significant added value and competitive advantage.
Finnsus was established by Rilli Lappalainen, who has a long career in leadership roles in civil society sustainability, including serving as the President of CONCORD Europe, and Sami Pirkkala, who has led Finland’s Agenda 2030 implementation work at the Prime Minister’s Office and served as the Secretary General of Finland’s National Commission on Sustainable Development.
Rilli and Sami want to support the public and third sector to be more sustainable offering a range of services and expertise from Finnsus network.
